The Biscuit Factory Foundation  - the newly formed charity from the UK’s largest independent art gallery The Biscuit Factory – launches Young Artists of the Year 2011 in association with Culture Magazine.

This competition is an open call for artists aged 35 and under

Artists may submit up to 5 entries at 10.00GBP per entry.

This competition is open to 2D and 3D artists (regretfully we cannot accept films or installations)

Entry forms and full terms and conditions will shortly be available from www.youngartistsoftheyear.com or from The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle

Entry forms must be accompanied by high resolution image(s) and full payment.

You can submit a hardcopy either in person or by post to The Biscuit Factory or via www.youngartistsoftheyear.com

Successful entrants will be required to deliver the selected work(s) to The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle between 7-13 November to feature in an exhibition which previews 23 November at The Holy Biscuit

A panel of judges will select the Judges Choice winner from the exhibition who will receive:

regional exposure through Culture Magazine

a solo exhibition in 2012 at The Biscuit Factory

£250 worth of Winsor and Newton art materials

£100 to spend at Blackwell’s

professional career development legal advice

 

A People’s Choice winner as voted for by visitors to the exhibition and online gallery will receive:

£100 worth of Winsor and Newton art materials

£50 to spend at Blackwell’s
